How do I enter the license code?From an admin session on the server, open the Printers folder and access the Printing Preferences for the installed product. The license code can be entered into the Licensing tab. How does your licensing model work?A license must be purchased for each user that accesses SE through the network. For instance, if 8 different workstations will access SE on the network, you must purchase an 8 user license regardless of whether the 8 users will access SE at different times or concurrently. A single user may access SE installed on multiple servers. How can I use the software from a laptop?To create a local client that can be used on a laptop or other unconnected computer, click the Create new pdfFactory/FinePrint Printer button in the Settings tab. Updates will occur automatically when the laptop is next connected to the network. How do fix "resource mismatch" errors?This can happen if the client is not updated properly when a new version is installed on the server. In this case, the client installation should be uninstalled and reinstalled in order to resynch the versions. If an uninstaller is available in the Add/Remove programs control panel, use it. If not, use these command line options: FinePrint 6 (x86) FinePrint 6 (x64) pdfFactory/Pro 3 (x86) pdfFactory/Pro 3 (x64) to suppress all the UI you can add /quiet to any of the above command lines. Can the client be installed from a script?Yes. Here are the command lines you can use: FinePrint 6: rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /in /n\\SERVER\fineprt6 How do I setup SE to run on multiple servers?Do the following: 1. Install SE on all servers 2. On any of the servers upon which SE is installed, access the Licensing tab in the Printing Preferences in the Windows Printers folder 3. Click Configure and then click "other servers running..." and enter the server names in the listbox. The location of the license server will then propagate to all listed servers.
