There are two types of upgrades:  minor and major.

Minor upgrades have the same version number as the product you are using.  For example, if you are a registered user of FinePrint 5.x or pdfFactory 3.x, any new 5.x or 3.x release is considered minor.  Minor upgrades are free.  Just download the new trial version and install using your existing registration code.

Major upgrades have a different version number than the product you are using.  Major upgrades are not free unless you've purchased the maintenance agreement which covers free major upgrades for a one year period from date of purchase.  Below are the major upgrades available.
